Putchfork front page contains three articles related to Asia!

1. China Imposes Performer Bans After Bjork Outburst
The obligatory critical article about China. Upon read,
you will find it to be vague and pompous.

2. Karen O Debuts New Side Project With Silly Name
The band is called The Native Korean Rock & The
Fishnets. Putchfork references it as a silly name.
Meanwhile Clap Your Cheeks And Say Yeah and Royskippy,
have become household names at Putchfork.
There is a link to The Native Korean Rock's myspice.
There are four streaming tracks, and photos of topless (Korean?) divers.

3. Guest List: Ponytail
Ponytail is a fore running band from the thriving Baltimore music scene, featuring
guitarist, Dustin Wong. Dustin Wong is also a member of the guitar duo group, Ecstatic Sunshine, and has worked alongside relatively famous Dan Deacon. Wong answers questions about his pop culture tastes, and says he once had a good time in Japan. Wong's face in the band photo featured on Putchfork's main page is the most obscured.

Note: There's an Asian guy in Icy Demons. I believe he plays some instrument and sings back up vocals, according to a live footage I vaguely recall. He's even featured in their band promo photos. Icy Demons will be performing at the Putchfork Music Festival this week end. Putchfork chose not to acknowledge his name but did so for the other members.

And why haven't Shugo Tokumaru's new band, The Gellers, become huge, yet alone be mentioned on the influencial to mass music opinion, Putchfork? They blow away most of the other bands out there right now. Check them out. http://www.myspace.com/gellers

DET likely to treat groin w/ kid gloves the rest of way

Feb 9 Camby (strained groin) will be a game-time decision on Friday night when the Nuggets take on Indiana, the Denver Post reports.

Recommendation: The Nuggets have been very hush-hush about Camby's availability although he did travel with the team for their current two-game road trip. His injury history doesn't bode well for him returning early and he's already stated that injuries to the groin and hamstring are ones he treats with kid gloves.

Dec 8 Camby was ejected in the first quarter of the Nuggets' game against Miami on Friday night after swatting a cup of throat lozenges onto the floor. Camby became irritated during a timeout with 2:02 left in the opening quarter after teammate Carmelo Anthony was called for a technical foul. Anthony was hit with the technical for yelling at the officials after a loose ball near the Nuggets' bench was ruled off of him instead of Miami's Dwyane Wade.

Advice: As the teams headed toward their benches, Camby took a swipe at a cup sitting on the edge of the scorer's table, spraying coach George Karl's throat lozenges out onto the floor. He was immediately ejected and slowly walked toward the locker room as the fans booed the officials.
